Our Glenwood’s Got Talent star does it again!

Mihle Xipu, winMihle Xipuner of the 2015 Glenwood’s Got Talent took part in the Vine Christian School’s yearly fundraiser – a singing competition held on 29 August and won!

His performance enchanted the audience and the judges were so impressed with his beautiful voice and performance that there was no doubt at all as to who the winner of this competition was.

Mihle also took part in the George Eisteddfod and sang songs far above his age level. He is definitely a true performer with a very exciting future. Well done, Mihle!

Glenwood House enters a new era

Glenwood House enters a new era

For the past 7 years we have been inundated with requests for hostel facilities at Glenwood but, for various reasons beyond our control, we have not been able to consider building a hostel yet.

The good news, however, is that Glenwood House College will be making hostel facilities available from January 2014. The initial offering will only cater for 24 pupils (12 boys and 12 girls) with an eventual capacity of 100. All applicants will be subject to strict admissions criteria as this facility will add to an already exceptional Glenwood product. Preference will be given to applicants who are resident outside the municipal boundaries of George.

Applicants are invited to apply.

After many years of waiting and eager anticipation, our BRAND NEW sparkling pool has finally been completed. Thank you to all our parents and pupils who have been so patient, but I’m sure you’ll all agree – IT HAS BEEN WORTH THE WAIT!

The pool will be officially inaugurated only at the start of 2014 and we will use the rest of this year to sort out our systems and teething problems. We will, therefore, start using the pool as soon as possible. In fact, College water polo training has already commenced.

I am truly convinced that this pool will take our swimming and water polo to a new level and we look forward to a “cool and splashing season”.
